Mom and son both agreed, if he was going to do a cake smash photoshoot for his 1st birthday, it was going to have to have Mickey Mouse theme.
It was no secret that Owen loves Mickey Mouse. I mean, what child doesn't?
He's the personification of being happy, exploring new things, and having a good time!
So mom and I set out to find the best Disney and Mickey Mouse birthday themed items she could find.
The cake for this birthday cake smash got an extra touch from mom by adding little Mickeys all over the cake!
It took a minute for Owen to warm up a bit, I think he may have just been overwhelmed with all the lovely Mickey Mouse birthday decorations in our backdrop!
But as soon as the Mickey Mouse cake made it's debut, his eyes lit up with excitement.
As quickly as we put him down to investigate, he was already shoving his hands in for a first taste!
Overall, this cake smash photoshoot was a great big mess, with even better success!
I think its safe to say, he will be enjoying cake for years to come!
